2012 Southern Baptist Conference of the Deaf

Southern Baptist Conference for Deaf (SBCD)

We will travel to Bolivar, Missouri on July 21 – 27. There will be activity for students. We will meet many deaf students and adults at the conference. This is a great opportunity for students to able to see good positive deaf role models and things from deaf culture with a lot of support and encouragement. The trip itself cost will be $299 and this includes everything for lodge, registration and meals! Church will provide bus for all of us ride together. Students will need be at church on July 21 at 6:00am then return on July 27 around 8:00pm. You can go to www.sbcdeaf.org for more information about the conference.

Deaf Graduation Recognition Service

Deaf Graduate Recognition Day
9:30am – 12:00pm

We will have graduate recognition day for all deaf who will complete High School or College this year. Please send your senior picture to the church office by email picture to pam.curlee@arbc.org or give to Laramie Burris. We want to show our support for all of you who are seniors! Service will start at 10:30am. Graduates will need bring their graduation cap and gown and show up at 9:30am to practice marching into the church service.

Deaf Six Flags

DEAF SIX FLAGS
7:00am – 7:00p

We will ride together either in cars or church bus to Six Flags. We need you to meet at our church at 7:00am to ride together. You will need to purchase your ticket and price is $30 for admission fee, parking fee and food.

I will collect money from now until May 8, 2012. We will have drinks, sandwiches, chips and cookies. We will walk together to have fun and opportunity to share gospel to other deaf.

Deaf Senior Celebration

We are going have a special celebration for all Deaf Seniors. We will go to Sky Zone Sports. Cost will be $20 dollars for jumping up to 2 hours. After that, we will go either to a park or Stone Mountain for a picnic. Everyone is welcome! If you bring children under 12 years old, you have to be above 18 years old and responsible for watching your child.
